
On February 26, 1993, terrorists exploded a 1,210-pound bomb in the World
Trade Center's parking garage leaving a crater 200 fee wide, causing 591 million
dollars in damage. Six people were killed and over a thousand injured.
On April 19, 1995, around 9:03 a.m., a massive bomb inside a rented truck
exploded blowing half of the Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City
into oblivion, killing 168 people.
And between 8:45 a.m. and 10:28 a.m. on September 11, 2001, two hijacked
airliners were crashed into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New
York City destroying both buildings and killing 4,167 people. Total
damage is estimated to be 34 billion dollars.
